Auditions will be held on
Saturday, the 29th of August.
Do You Have What It Takes?
Everyone and Anyone is invited to attend, to see if they have what it takes to be part of the Dance Trends Company Teams!
Company Audition Times:
Please be about 20 minutes early so you can stretch and get ready before the audition begins.
Mini's (ages 8-11) 11:00am - 1:15pm
· Jazz Company 11:00-11:45
· Hip Hop Company 11:45-12:30
· Tap Company 12:30-1:15
Junior's (ages 11-13) 1:30pm - 3:45pm
· Jazz Company 1:30-2:15
· Hip Hop Company 2:15-3:00
· Tap Company 3:00-3:45
Senior's (ages 13+) 4:00pm - 6:15pm
· Jazz Company 4:00-4:45
· Hip Hop Company 4:45-5:30
· Tap Company 5:30-6:15
 Audition Agenda:
Auditions will last about 45 minutes, and are broken up into two parts:
Students will learn a short dance combination for the first 30 minutes of the audition.
Students will then be asked to perform that dance routine for Dance Trends staff members as they are critiqued.
Please do NOT be late! We will not re-teach the routine, as it is unfair to the other students. Videotaping of the auditions may be taking place so that faculty may review performances at a later time.
Company students from last year, and those students invited to be part of company this coming year, are still required to audition!
 Dress Code:
* All hair should be pulled back away from the face.
* Jazz clothing must be form fitting.
* Hip Hop clothing needs to be baggy pants and a t-shirt.
* Tap clothing needs to be comfortable to tap in, and we have to be able to see your feet.
 Acceptance:
Notices will be sent out the following week to those who are accepted into the performance companies. There will also be a MANDATORY company meeting which will be scheduled after acceptance notices are sent out.
This meeting will go over everything from what classes are required, time commitments, competitions, dress code, costumes, rehearsals and any questions that dancers and their parents may have.
